Raspberry Pi..Raspberry Pi..can you guys gives the similarities or differences between this tye of device and our ideal computer specification..

    so we have to compare intel with raspberry pi?

    Differences :
    1.raspberry pi is smaller than intel
    2.raspberry pi is cheaper than intel
    3.intel's specsmanship is better than raspberry

    Similarities :
    1.the applications are the same

    (It's hard for me to find the similarities compare to differences.I only can find this on internet)

    Talking about performance, intel is better,intel's NUC have more than enough headroom for CPU intensive tasks, something the Raspberry Pi lacks.

    The Raspberry Pi is too low-powered for any practical consumer use, But Intels NUC is perfect for a micro Media Center.

    raspberry-pi runs entirely on open-source software. it uses ARM11 as the microprocessor. ARM11 microprocessor is widely used in the mobile devices such as tablets and mobile phones.

    as for i7, it itself is a microprocessor. it has 4 cores.........

    and will continue to find more info. cnt continue doing it now since i cudnt undertand the ''IT LANGUAGE''. oh heres the link where i gt my infos :

    Raspberry pi:
    -It's still a new product in market.
    -It's smaller compared to intel processor.

    Intel:
    -had been used a long time and trusted by many people all over the world.
    -But it's larger compared to raspberry pi.

    similarity:
    -Both of them are the best and carry the same function..

    that's all that i can searh on google.i don't have proper knowledge bout computer actually :-)

    differences..
    1) the Intel i7 architecture has a lot more sophisticated circuitry built into it than the ARM RISC system in the Raspberry Pi
    2) the ARM (in Raspberry Pi) is about 7-25 times slower than the Intel i7, which is a lot higher than the pure ratio,700 MHz / 2.67 GHz
    3) energy cost: an Intel i7 desktop can easily draw 180 Watts, the Raspberry Pi is happy with just 3.5 Watts.
    ..similarities.,
    1)both carry same function,which is be used as the processor in an individual desktop

    Differences:

    Raspberry Pi :
    - the size is smaller.
    - cheaper in price.
    - cannot play the latest hardcore 3D games on your laptop.
    - High definition video streaming.
    - designed fer beginners.
    - do not support x86 operating system.
    - cannot run 32 bit operating system ( Eg : microsoft windows, Max OS X, Linux)
    - new technology
    - use ARM 11 as microprocessor


    Intel :
    - the specsmanship is better
    - the performance is better
    - perfect for a micro media center
    - it itself is a microprocessor
    - larger in size
